PRINCESSHAY’S CATWALK SHOWS GIVE SHOPPERS MODEL INSPIRATION

A professional struts her stuff on the catwalk

Over 100 budding models have entered the Face of Exeter’s Princesshay competition so far with many gaining inspiration from Princesshay’s Autumn Winter Fashion Tour. Talent Spotters were out in full force over the weekend searching for the ‘hottest faces’ from the crowds of shoppers and showing them where to enter in Reiss.

Kicking off the model search were two days of unbelievable style, fashion and fun at Princesshay’s Autumn Winter Fashion Tour where professional models strutted their stuff on the catwalk in the main thoroughfare of the centre on Friday 30th September and Saturday 1st October. Packed with the latest looks and trends, shoppers enjoyed 6 free fashion shows a day on both days featuring key looks and trends for the Autumn Winter season available from Princesshay.

Wayne Pearce Princesshay Centre Director said, “We have had a fantastic response to the competition so far and I am sure our catwalk shows this weekend gave some people the inspiration to enter once they saw the professional models strut their stuff on our 20 metre catwalk! We are hoping 2011 will be an even bigger and better competition and are pleased with the standard of entrants so far.”

Not only will the winning male and female represent the city’s award-winning shopping centre for a year by taking part in exciting events but the prize also includes an amazing £500 each to spend in Princesshay’s top retail outlets, a session with a top professional stylist and personal shopper Chantelle Znideric from Topstylista, a photo shoot with a professional fashion photographer and also an exclusive picture spread in the Express and Echo and the Mid Devon Gazette.

To be in with a chance of winning just visit the first floor of Reiss in Princesshay shopping quarter between Friday 30th September and Saturday 8th October from 11am to 4pm to enter. All entries will be showcased in a special Face of Exeter’s Princesshay supplement in paper on Thursday 13th October before readers are invited to vote for their favourites by text or by post. The reader’s top 14 male and 14 female entrants will then progress to the semi final round together with two wild card entries from the judging panel.

The 30 semi finalists will be whittled down to 12 finalists (6 males & 6 female) by the judge’s panel before being professionally styled for a fashion show finale in Southgate Hotel, Exeter on Saturday 12th November. Each finalist will ‘strut their stuff’ in front of friends, family and the judges before the two winners – one male and one female – are announced as the Face of Exeter’s Princesshay.
